During the £185million  investment project in the rebuilding of Blast Furnace 4 at TATA Steel Works in Port Talbot, Darlow Lloyd Construction were asked to provide both Civil and Building Works to aid in the completion of the rebuild project. From July 2012 until February 2013, various minor works were completed both Civil and Building in association with the Blast Furnace 4 Rebuild. A non-exhaustive list of the works completed include

  • Formation of BF4 Projects & Contractors Compound
  • Installation of drainage System and enabling service ducts to the contractors compound
  • Formation of main and overspill car parks to facilitate the project
  • Grading and landscaping to the compounds and surrounding areas
  • Construction of a new triple transformer pen
  • Construction of several double transformer pens
  • Refurbishment and improvement works to the existing substations
  • Various diamond drilling works
  • Formation of miscellaneous concrete foundations & bases
  • 24 Hour Security provided to all access and egress points at the ring fenced site
  • Miscellaneous cleaning gangs as requested by the projects team
